Jessica is the eye behind Harmony in Happenstance. She is truly passionate about capturing true, natural love. Ever since she was young, she has always wanted to create—whether it was through dance, music, or art.
Jessica began her love for photography in middle school. Her family took a lot of long road trips, visiting family and family friends. This allowed her to learn a lot about capturing special moments, especially since these were people her parents had not seen in a long time.
In high school, Jessica took a film photography class where she learned technical skillsets including composition and film development. Also, she was involved in the community and part of organizations so she was surrounded with opportunities to take plenty of photos of events and her friends. When it came to attending Virginia Commonwealth University, she decided to major in Graphic Design where she could still utilize photography in her visual story telling and communication.
When taking photos, Jessica is focused on the narrative. She is a true romantic and feeds off love and compassion. She is naturally hospitable and extremely giving.
You can find Jessica in her neighborhood of Navy Yard in Washington, DC, discovering and supporting local businesses, designing full-time, photographing love and families on the weekends, and of course, marketing the All Things Go Fall Classic music festival. She is never not working and exploring. Catch her and create something together.
